A Social Bookmarking Campaign for Lazy Linkers

Posted by BlogTime On August - 22 - 2010

Social Bookmarking Campaigns can be pretty complex. In order to get the support of other users of a social media site it is fairly well known that you have to fully engage with the site, share links add comments and enter into a dialogue with the community. That is a pretty time consuming activity and with the best will in the world it probably isn’t going to be possible with more than perhaps one or two of the social media sites effectively.

That leaves a little bit of a dilemma, because for an effective promotion of a URL you really need to be establishing a series of back links across a whole range of sites and ideally you should not be self submitting. So is there another way, well it just so happens there is. Its called SocialAdr and it is a subscription program you can adopt that has come up with a unique way of ensuring that you will get support from social media sites with practically no interaction. That leaves you to concentrate on the one or two sites where you can be effective and fully interact.

Have you tested out the SocialAdr service at all yourself to see what sort of results it can bring in? It seems to have the potential to increase traffic significantly, but then on the other hand you’re also taking a risk by “gaming the system”.

Anyone else got experience with this program and are willing to give any feedback on their results?

Yes I am using the system and I have had a number of bookmarks submitted to the social media sites. I don’t consider it gaming, you can choose which bookmarks you share and if you don’t like any of them you don’t have to share them. That is no different to any other type of submissions you may make from any social media site.

Also when you add a bookmark, if anyone doesn’t like what you have submitted then they don’t have to share it. The credit system simply allows you to add more bookmarks when you build credit which is the incentive to go and use this service. If I don’t like the submissions available for a share I just wait until they are cleared out, everyone has a different opinion on what is good and what is bad. I still think that content is the most important thing, if you have good content with a good title that normally means your submissions will be shared quicker.

Social bookmarking can definitely be useful in helping you index your sites or give quick boosts. But mostly for uncompetitive terms. I’m not sure if it can make a big of a difference when trying to target medium plus terms.

Social bookmarking is just part of the bigger picture, once piece in the jigsaw and like all the rest of the pieces they don’t work as well on their own.
