Every resource in business costs money, hiring staff is probably one of the most significant. What a business has to decide is whether that investment provides a return that exceeds or justifies the cost. Sometimes this is not even measured in value but in extraneous benefits such as good will, staff moral, improved communications and so on. Yes subjective and a call that the budget holder has to make.

Well, i do understand that blogging is one way to communicate with your employees but like you said, it takes a lot of time to maintain an updated blog and it may even require an administrator to perform the daily operations. My point here is that isn't that another investment for the company to hire someone to maintain the blog? Isn't that a loss in their revenue? I'm just wondering.

Create Rss Feed is a 100% free service that allows you to convert partial RSS feeds into full text RSS feeds. It is currently the most used website for people who want to view full text RSS feeds and for autobloggers.

Your post gives a lot of information on how a business engages with blogging. Companies are using blogs to attract more viewers. With this team building and communication within the company department will be much easier and effective.

Good post with a lot of great points. Business' engaging in blogging is definitely a pretty strong trend. I've seen many companies initiate blogs in hopes of achieving better outreach and distributing information in a new way to tap into various audiences. Great point about employees and team building/communication too.

It must be a good idea. I've been seeing more company blogs lately and I have heard of people who have been hired just to blog for the company.

I have been suggesting it to my company for a couple of years now but they are still wary of customer service implications and worried about the best way to control content without sounding too canned.
