Websites have been around for a long time and it is likely you have seen every kind of site out there.  From the ones that consist entirely of articles and text, to those that look almost like a picture book.  Either way, we have come a long way from the basic one page layout that started the web design era.  Since we have of plethora of ad-on’s available, do you know where to stop? The best style blogs are first and foremost the ones that have a message to communicate or a problem to solve and do it by providing great content. Before you get overly concerned with the look of your blog you need to understand that the main reason people visit blogs is to gain access to quality content. Some of the most highly visited blogs I have found have used standard format templates and just got on with the business of communicating with their target audience.

Its also worth noting that search engines can’t tell the difference between a highly polished, all singing and all dancing blog any more than they can a bog standard off the shelf template that comes as your starter for ten. Search engines look primarily at text and relate that text to enquiries entered into their search boxes. Also as things stand at the moment, many of the tools that provide a wow factor for a blog in terms of visual presentation are pretty much impenetrable to the search engines, and can easily leave them flaying about in the dark when it comes to trying to interpret the content of a blog.

In the world of blogging it can often be assumed that people will be able to intuitively go about creating their first blog without any specific instructions on exactly how to do that. This is, or can be, a bit daunting, especially if you want to host your blog on your own domain in a specific format.

First of all where do you actually register a domain name and then how do you go about getting that domain hosted so the content in it can be published on the Internet.

If you are just getting into blogging you may not know too much about Twitter, these guys have come up with a system that potentially can help you get up to 20,000 followers on Twitter and then use that following to earn an income on autopilot. Probably worth a look to see what they say, I haven’t as yet but maybe when I get a chance, 20,000 is a lot of people.
