Since starting online I’ve looked at quite a few hosts. Many have poor customer service and limited functionality. I did find a good one I was reasonably happy with but found when I wanted to upgrade and perform specific functions for search engine optimization, it was difficult . This is why I tried HostGator with their $4.95 starter plan. They gave me all the functionality I needed at a reasonable cost.

HostGator is based in the States but that doesn’t prevent it being a UK web hosting option, it just means you pay them in US Dollars and your domain registration can still be done in the UK if that is your preference.
