Many adopt the option of blogging about blogging and although that can be a beneficial route to take, it is one which has some pretty high profile competition and requires a lot of expertise to gain credibility.

The thing about blogging is that, whether you believe it or not, it is a very personal journey and it does not really matter which subject you end up adopting. If you bring to the subject your own personal style and personality, you can make inroads on any subject as long as the way you write, present yourself and interact is appealing.

So to answer the question, yes you can blog about any subject you like, even subjects that appear to be in saturation and over subscribed such as blogging about blogging. You just have to realise that when you select some subjects, which are in a highly competitive arena, you are going to have to work very hard at establishing your presence in the community that seeks out the subject matter and your passion for the subject will need to shine through.
